Description
Renovating an old Spanish penthouse to modern standards is no easy task, but when our Swedish client approached us with a vision for this space, we knew we had a unique challenge on our hands. The penthouse boasted traditional Spanish architecture, with antique tiles, iron balconies, and expansive terraces overlooking the bustling cityscape of Barcelona. That said, it was in dire need of an update to meet the expectations of a modern-day homeowner.

What we did
Our work on “911 Apartment” centers around creating a space that reflects the principles of Nordic minimalism: simplicity, functionality, and elegance. We collaborated with the client to design an open layout that seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas, enhancing the sense of space and unity. Architectural elements were integrated to reduce visual clutter, with built-in features and hidden storage to keep the design clean and unobstructed. Straight lines and geometric shapes guide the design language, from custom cabinetry to the sleek finishes throughout the apartment. By focusing on open spaces and natural materials, we’ve crafted an environment that feels both modern and timeless, offering a serene retreat from the bustling city life.
The transformation of the spaces was deeply radical, focused on refining even the most subtle details. It was a renovation where our expert builders and artisans truly showcased their skills.
